…In white sauce.

Must cook in slow-cooker or crockpot

Thoroughly wash two pounds of chicken thighs

Add one box of chicken broth to slow cooker along with the chicken. Add chicken seasoning, fresh tarragon leaves and minced garlic.

Cook on low for 2.5/3 hours or until meat is tender.

Prepare White Sauce, also known as bΓ©chamel.

In a two quart sauce pan, warm two cups of 2% milk, add one teaspoon of season salt one teaspoon of course black pepper, one tablespoon of butter, two tablespoons of white flour.

Bring to boil, stir and add one teaspoon of Dijon Mustard.

Coat baking dish with olive oil and transfer chicken and cover with sauce.

Top with baby green onions and more tarragon.

Cook for 30 minutes on low heat until it bubbles.

Remove and serve with red russet potatoes, your favorite green vegetable and I personally believe this dish calls for a Pinot Grigio.

…But summer will only last till Friday. Oh my gosh, can you believe summer will officially end this Friday? I can’t believe it either!! I’m so sad, lol. Actually, I love the fall season and fall weather and between leather jackets, ankle boots and autumnal activities there is a lot to look forward to.

But before summer is gone for good, we have a few more days to wear my two favorite summer themes: florals and sundresses!!

Full disclosure: I have actually worn this dress on the last day of summer for the past two summers. It just puts me in such a good mood πŸ™‚

Also, these Stuart Weitzman platforms have literally gotten me through the summer. Us short girls need all the assistance we can get!

Make sure you check out the coffee shop DOLLOP. They have a few locations in Chicago and I love them all. Try the soy chai, so yummy!

Fall look book coming soon…

You guys know I’m a Chicago girl but I don’t care!! I will never get used to this weather!! I’m dreaming of a few days of CONSISTENT good weather! It’s time for rompers, skirts without tights, tank tops, flowy dresses…I’m ready for all of it. Is that too much to ask? Come on Mother Nature, work with me πŸ™‚

When I saw this yellow dress, it as love at first sight! The sunflower yellow color is just so pretty. The lace is feminine and elegant while the low cut front gives it a little sex appeal. The straps in the back give it a little edge and the length is great because I feel like I can dress it up or down.

The dress is styled here with a black leather jacket that is also from Victoria Secret, gold block heeled sandals from Charles David and my go to Coach purse in white and periwinkle.

What do you guys think of this look? Feedback is always welcome πŸ™‚

OK, two things: I love green and looking over my other blog posts, for some reason I wear these black suede Donald J Pliner open toe ankle booties in like every post πŸ™‚ LOL! Why? I can’t even remember the time I actually wore them in real time…silly girl…

Before I started blogging and was just an Instagram junky, I came across a lot of OOTD posts where bloggers cited a brand called Windsor Store and to be honest, I had never heard of them. But, last week I went to the mall (in the burbs no less) and now I know! I don’t even know what store I was in but I picked up this olive green t shirt dress (which you know I love) and it’s so soft I could sleep in it.

I styled the dress with a light trench style jacket from Nasty Gal, the cutest little Coach purse and the now infamous DJP booties that I now regret wearing :/ lol

I hope you like what you see and as always, feedback is always welcome.

As an 80’s baby – 90’s kid I could not be happier!! Growing up I was totally obsessed with Blossom and Clarissa Explains it All (remember those shows?) and my favorite part was seeing what her wardrobe would be each week!

As I’m sure you already know, slip dresses were big. The white t shirt makes it a little less sexy and a little more day time appropriate. Thoughts?

Here I styled the look with a red purse and black open toe booties but I think any number of shoe/purse choices will work.

I can almost guarantee I will be wearing this dress on repeat this summer!

Denim, soft-to-the touch top and a killer shoe/purse combo. I guess thats every stylish ladies uniform!! I used to think everyone fell into two categories: blue jean babies or girly girls. But if you have seen anything on my blog or Instagram (@misssmogilvie follow me you won’t be sorry :), you know I love a solid pair of jeans just as much as I love dresses.

Now, lets talk mules, often referred to as slides. I swear these are part of the 90’s trend cause I wore them in middle school then I dropped them off in my moms closet before I went to college cause why would I be caught dead in those old lady shoes??

I almost took them back a few weeks ago but then this Christian Siriano pair from Payless, yes Payless caught my eye.

Payless because I am tired of getting great news shoes and then being bummed as soon as they show any sort of wear and tear. Christian Siriano because I love the fact that he does not trade on his character for his success.

As soon as I figure out how to actually post a live link I will show three other options in different price points.

I also really love a bold bag. This one from Marc Jacobs is one of my favorites and I will link a few more when I figure this thing out πŸ™‚

In the meantime, enjoy these images and I hope they inspire some cute accessory choices.

XOXO Always! And of course feedback is always welcome and encouraged…!

This isn’t the first time I’ve worn white on MIHP and I guarantee you it won’t be the last…I just wish it were actually warm enough to wear dresses this light and airy.

I bought this dress a few seasons ago and never wore it (imagine that πŸ™‚ but I linked three flowy white dresses from Zara as it’s a style item that will never go out of style.

Paired with Ray-Ban Clubmaster sunnies and black leather sandals from Chie Mihara, this look is perfect for a picnic or afternoon at the Art Institute.

What do you guys like to wear when it warms up?
